This week we are talking about some of the best movies on Shudder to help pass your scary self-care time.
So, if you’re anything like me you wander onto Shudder and try and find out what shows are on Shudder, or what is on Shudder in general. Well, I’ve come prepared for you today. I’ve put together a shudder movie list for you in hopes it’ll make things a little simpler.

Best Movies On Shudder
1. Shudder possession movies
The Cleansing Hour is hands down one of my top ten shudder original movies. It was this movie that put me on the path to becoming a Shudder subscriber. If you love a sassy demonic possession that takes going viral to a whole new meaning you have to see it.

Max and Drew are millennial entrepreneurs who’ve made themselves famous with a webcast they created called “The Cleansing Hour,” which streams LIVE EXORCISMS. The catch? Each exorcism is elaborately staged. Until today, when Drew’s fiance, today’s actress in the chair, turns out to be possessed! Will Max and Drew be forced to tell their 20 million viewers? Or are they the pawns in a greater demonic conspiracy?
2. Found footage on shudder
Deadstream is not only funny, but it’s also got some epic jump scares in it. One second you’re laughing and the next you jump out your skin. It is an amazing found footage shudder original and a must-watch for all the ghost hunting show lovers out there.

Deadstream follows a disgraced internet personality who tries to win back his followers by livestreaming himself at an abandoned haunted house. When he accidentally unleashes a vengeful spirit, his comeback event becomes a real-time fight for his life.
3. Best devil movie
I had no idea what The Autopsy Of Jane Doe was until one of my favorite gamers talked about it. It is hands down one of the most disturbing movies on Shudder, once you get through to the end and think about what you’ve just watched.

Coroners are mystified by an unidentified corpse until a series of terrifying events make it clear: Jane Doe may not be dead.
4. Best thrillers on shudder
So if you love Mary Shelly and have been looking for one of the best psychological thrillers on Shudder, you must watch A Nightmare Wakes.

Inspired by the torrid love affair of Mary and Percy Shelley as Mary wrote her famous novel, Frankenstein. As Mary writes, the characters of her novel come to life and begin to plague her relationship with Percy. Soon, she must choose between true love and her literary masterpiece.
5. Shudder witch movies
Very recently I have discovered I have a love of Asian horror movies, and Satan’s Slaves is a must-watch if you are the same. This puts a new spin on the occult and the repercussions with great twists and turns.

When a famous singer dies from a mysterious illness, her family feels her presence linger, and a horrifying saga begins. Rini and her siblings care for their sick mother in the countryside, but after the matriarch passes away, evil entities terrorize and even possess the family. If you’ve never seen the Dragula Shudder TV show, you have to give it a go. This is not your typical drag show, and for all the horror lovers out there, it’s a must-see.

7. Epic shudder slashers
So this may just be one of the best 90-minute horror movies on Shudder. Ruin Me is a great watch for all of you who dream of a Crystal Lake vacation.

8. Vampire movies on shudder
Imagine my shock and happiness to come across this vampire TV show on Shudder, as I was getting my Christmas reading list ready. Not only is the book on my TBR but now I get to watch the cinema adaptation after.
Based on Joe Hill’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same name
It follows Vic McQueen, a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. This ability puts her on a collision course with the evil and immortal Charlie Manx. Manx is a supernatural villain who feeds off the souls of children and then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims – without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
9. Shudder found footage
Typically when a shudder series gets to the third or fourth installment things are starting to get weird and uninteresting. Hell House LLC Origins did not fall into that black hole and kept me on the edge of my seat and nervous until the very end.

10. Nicolas Cage’s scary movie
Can we all just admit that we enjoy Nicholas Cage’s antics and move on? He does such an amazing job in The Color Out Of Space and it is a must-watch for all the Nick Cage horror movie lovers out there.

11. Best 80s horror movies streaming
Hellraiser and Puppet Masters was my intro to the horror world as a kid, he explains a lot. But be it the book or the film, Hellraiser is my absolute favorite and the Best 80s horror movie streaming.

12. Best psychological thrillers on shudder
If you are a classic gothic horror lover, you have to watch Carmilla. It may be one of the best psychological thrillers on Shudder, and the book is a classic.

13. Best cult classic horror movies
So I’m fairly certain Silent Night, Deadly Night one and two are Christmas traditions for many of us. But maybe you aren’t a 90s kid and missed out, so let me be the first to welcome you to the club, and watch out for Santas.

Oh, it’s Garbage Day in this notorious cult sequel to the essential Santa slasher. Carrying the terrifying memory of his brother Billy’s death, Ricky is released from an asylum, ready to continue the family tradition of Christmas carnage.
14. Best monster movies streaming
Is there anything better than a Christmas Creepshow? While there will always be a soft spot in me for the original, shudders new take on the Crypt Keeper brings the childhood memories on.

Is there anything scarier than being isolated with your ex’s family who don’t like you? I doubt it, and The Apology puts all of us in that awful head space.

16. Shudder zombie movies
While on the older side, The Lords Of Salem is a must-see for horror lovers. It’s got just enough humor in it to keep it from being too heavy, but still a classic must-see.

Heidi, a radio DJ from Salem, is plagued by bizarre nightmares of vengeful witches after playing a mysterious record by a group known as The Lords. When the record becomes a huge hit, Heidi and her colleagues receive tickets for the band’s next gig, but upon arrival find that the show goes beyond anything they could have imagined.
17. Shudder watch party
This underrated gem is a shudder watch party top choice. Now I may be a little biased as the twist in this one hits very close to home. Either way, it’s an amazing film and I highly recommend it.

After agreeing to be an overnight shomer (a Jewish practice in which a person watches over the body of a recently deceased community member), a young man who’s lost his faith discovers the house in which he’s sitting the vigil hides a dark and terrifying secret.
18. Shudder TV series
So love it or hate it, Deadhouse Dark is a shudder TV series you should give a go if you enjoy horror anthologies. If you enjoy a murder puzzle situation I’m sure you’ll enjoy this one.
Shudder Original
In six interconnected short tales of terror, a woman receives a ‘mystery box’ from the dark web. Each item within will gradually reveal a dark and troubling truth.
19. Shudder original horror movies
If you need a horror comedy to keep you company, Scare Package 2 is a great choice. It’s campy and gory enough to keep the horror lovers happy, while also being funny enough to keep it light and enjoyable for the non-horror lovers.

In the even more meta sequel to SCARE PACKAGE, the attendees of Rad Chad’s funeral awake in a SAW-style escape room. As the anthology segments and bodies pile up, the group must use their horror film knowledge to survive.
20. Shudder Asian horror
Lingering is on my list to watch over winter break and honestly, I can’t get enough shudder Asian horror. This one takes place in a haunted hotel, which is just another mark in the win category for me.

Seeking support as the guardian of her younger sibling, Yoo-mi returns to a small hotel, run by a family friend. As bizarre incidents creep up in her mother’s old room, Yoo-mi will have to unravel the supernatural mystery and discover the truth before it’s too late.
21. Horror movies everyone should see
The Relic is a horror movie that everyone should see. I can honestly say that this is the only horror movie to have me jumping out of my skin and bawling like a baby in one film. Needless to say, it hits on some very troubling and sad topics.
