1. Spooktacular Psychological Horror
If you’ve been looking for a Tim Burton style videogame, you can’t go wrong with FranBow by Killmonday games. FranBow is the next game on my list once I finish up Lost In Random, and after the joy of Little Misfortune I can’t wait to see what this one will bring,
After witnessing the gruesome and mysterious loss of her parents, found dismembered at their home, Fran rushes into the woods, together with her only friend, Mr. Midnight, a black cat that Fran had previously received as a present from her parents.
In the forest, Fran goes into shock over the loss of her parents and when she recovers, she’s at Oswald Asylum, an oppressive mental institution for children, and Mr. Midnight is nowhere to be found.
After having a dream about her beloved cat, Fran decides to escape from the mental institution to find him and go back home to Aunt Grace, her only living relative.

4. Cute Hand Drawn Tim Burton Style Game
So I haven’t gotten to play this one yet, it’s on my list. But if I had to describe Hollow Knight from the gameplay I’ve seen, I’d say. It’s Tim Burton, meets Alice In Wonderland-Salvic addition. Overall everyone seems to love this adventure game, and I can’t wait to get to it.
Forge your path in Hollow Knight! An epic action adventure through a vast ruined kingdom of insects and heroes. Explore twisting caverns, and battle-tainted creatures, and befriend bizarre bugs, all in a classic, hand-drawn 2D style.
5. Challenging Tim Burton Style Videogame
Who wants to be a plague doctor? Thymesia is like Sweeny Todd meets Bloodborne. When I came across the gameplay, I was instantly intrigued. This is more Tim Burton battle RPG than most of the others on this list, but hey, we have to work our frustration out on something right.
Thymesia is a grueling action RPG with fast-paced combat and an intricate plague weapon system. In a kingdom where death spreads, play as a mysterious character known by the code name “Corvus”. Prey upon your enemies, wield the power of disease and find the truth in your memories.

7. Gothic Tim Burton Style Combat Game
I am just finishing this lost gem up on Xbox One, and I have to admit. It’s one of the best games I’ve played this year. Lost In Random hits Tim Burton’s art style out of the park. I will say give yourself time to understand and adapt to the battle system before giving up, as it is a little, well, random.
Lost in Random, invites you to a gothic, magical world of a tabletop fairytale. This action-adventure game takes place across the kingdom of Random, where every citizen’s future is determined by the roll of a die. Now it’s your turn to discover to which of the six shadowy realms you belong.
8. Gothic Dream Burton Style Game
Hands down this is one of the best, if not the best Tim Burton style videogame I’ve played all year. This is an older game, 2011, but it does not disappoint you, and the art throughout is amazing. 10. Creeptastic 2D Burton Style Game
Corpse Bride meets a sassy substitute grim reaper. The art style is so Burtonesque it makes my heart hurt and the story is amazing. Throw in it’s a point and click mixed with sickle action on Switch, my heart is full to bursting.

16. Lovely Story-Rich Sailing Horror Game
If you asked Tim Burton to make a cannery fisherman story, I suspect Dredge would be pretty similar. The art style isn’t a full Burtonesque style, but it might squeak by if we squint. Either way, this Lovecraft/Burtonesque video game is relaxing, while still being challenging and giving ample hours of gameplay.
DREDGE is a single-player fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent. Sell your catch, upgrade your boat, and dredge the depths for long-buried secrets. Explore a mysterious archipelago and discover why some things are best left forgotten.
